[otrs] Regarding proxy settings

Hi,

I am trying to run otrs behind a proxy..I set the proxy settings in
Core::Package frm Admin web interface.But then on restarting the apache
nothing has changed.I checked the Config.pm file, the change is not
reflected and no entry is there for proxy in it.

what is the reason you want to set the proxy?
have you ever thought about reading the admin handbook?

Hi Nils,

There is a proxy set in our lab...so I have no option..:-)
Yes,I have thought about and am reading the admin handbook that's why I
tried setting the Core::Package config value.

In admin home of web interface, OTRS news and Product News both are showing
error
Can't connect to: http://otrs.org/product.xml (500 Can't connect to
otrs.org:80 (Bad hostname 'otrs.org'))
Can't connect to http://otrs.org/rss/

Package like Package Management

Look in Framework -> Core::Web
Remember that there is a Cache for the Dashboard so you need to wait a few minutes afterwards.
